The role
Sitting within the Customer Advocacy function the Technical Manager will work within an ITIL based environment to lead a team to provide technical lifecycle management. The Technical Manager will be essential in managing the team to provide release and version control as well as delivering full end to end risk assessment from initial evaluation through to delivery of remediation activities.

Role responsibilities include:

* To manage and lead a technical team
* Impact assessment of customer notifications
* Lifecycle management of products
* Provide recommendations for vulnerability remediation solutions
* Develop vulnerability and advocacy procedures and policies through continuous improvement activities
* Take responsibility and ownership of Continual Service Improvement Plans (CSIP's)

The person
The individual performing this role should have extensive experience as a Technical Manager, specifically to be able to manage a technical team. They should have advanced application experience of ITIL principles ideally within a managed services environment.

Strong leadership, decision making and organisation skills are imperative.

This person should have the ability to manage & influence multiple teams and be comfortable communicating at a senior level and within customer organisations.

Desirable technology experience
Working within a Customer Advocacy and vulnerability environment the technologies used include:

* NetApp Storage based around ONTAP.
* Cisco UCS Compute platform.
* Cisco Nexus data centre switches (IOS, Nexus,ASA,1K,5K,6K,7K,9K).
* Microsoft/WSUS
* VMWare

Experience with any of the above technologies would be desirable.
