We have an opportunity within a leading automotive client, based out of their Warwickshire head office. Position Description:
Quality Engineer - The successful applicant will have a support roll leading activities with the Electrification Quality function. Implementation on all forward model programmes. Any successful application will be able to drive requirements is for a person who can drive the internal behaviours, with the quality deliverable at the forefront of delivery. The role involves interaction with other departments within Electrification, Powertrain, Electrical Engineering and other areas of the business, e.g. Manufacturing and Service. Duties will include; Current Vehicle Quality metrics and issue management, Escape point analysis, process control & Prevent Recurrence, Root Cause analysis by Observation & Data analysis, Problem definition, team based Problem Solving Processes (Technical & Process), Lean principles and Process Mapping/Analysis, Monitor/manage the improvement, verification and implementation of issue resolution, liaising with suppliers, Liaise with Plant Teams on resolution and robust engineering projects closure, Manage the Supplier Quality Review process, Report Quality project status at internal & supplier review forums.

Skills Required:
1. A sound technical knowledge of vehicle systems, involving Powertrain and Electrical sub-systems and components. Understands Quality and diagnostic activities and can identify concerns and identify solutions to overcome.
2. Successful experience of technical analysis and problem resolution.
3. Experience of the Service sector design requirements (i.e Special tools, repair process, component packaging).

Experience Required:
An appropriate level of qualification in the Automotive industry, with sound experience of Powertrain, Electrical systems Successful experience of technical analysis and complex problem resolution Complex understanding of Service environment requirements - automotive diagnosis and repair Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills - with an ability to apply inventive ways to steer issues toward resolution Self-motivated with the ability to deliver with minimum supervision Good level of IT literacy and the ability to analyse and present data using IT systems and Microsoft Tool skill sets.

Education Required:
Degree in an engineering specialism desirable, but not essential - other relevant motor industry experience considered Previous experience creating and delivering concise technical reports Specific Design and Development of Vehicle Electrification Propulsion Systems Experience with Standards or Requirement definition Development of automotive diagnostic strategies (i.e. ECU diagnostics) Working knowledge of the programme & project delivery processes Experience of Warranty investigation, resolution and mitigation Experience of statistical problem solving tools (i.e. Six Sigma).

Travelling flexibility within the Midlands, UK Able to travel Worldwide Full UK driving license required.
