Systems Engineer

My client is renowned for product reliability, efficiency and medical advancement. They are growing rapidly due to recent investment in the brand and are looking for a strong Systems Engineer with experience working in a highly regulated environment to join their team. As a Systems Engineer you'll become part of an innovative and dynamic team and will take a lead in the feasibility, definition, integration and verification of elements of the dialysis products.

Job Description

Systems Engineer - £30,000-£40,000 - Commutable from Alcester, Stratford-upon-Avon, Redditch and Worcester.

My client is renowned for product reliability, efficiency and medical advancement. They are growing rapidly due to recent investment in the brand and are looking for a strong Systems Engineer with experience working in a highly regulated environment to join their team.
As a Systems Engineer you'll become part of an innovative and dynamic team and will take a lead in the feasibility, definition, integration and verification of elements of the dialysis products.

Key Responsibilities:

* Analyse design improvement opportunities including, but not limited to, thermal, hydrualic, EMC, serviceability and functional safety.
* Help develop mechanical, electronic and software design solutions.
* Prototyping & experimental testing.
* Ensure all aspects of the development life-cycle are followed and remain compliant with the development process and regulatory standards.
* Analyse performance failures of the systems, subsystems & components using root cause analysis.
* Define and apply integration and verification testing to examine the product performance.
* Report writing and recording and interpreting test results.
* Identify opportunities for engineering process change to drive efficiency
* Provide coaching to assist with the development of junior colleagues

Key Requirements:

* Related Engineering, Science or BioMed Degree; Masters desirable
* Experience of working with mechatronic systems, such as robotics, control plans and automated equipment.
* Knowledge of testing, manufacturing and verification processes
* Hands-on system-level engineering experience, delivering mechanical, electronic or software designs for complex devices
* Experience of working to ISO13485 would be ideal.
* Knowledge of risk management principles applied to the development of safety-critical systems

The Package:
£30,000-£40,000 (DOE)
08:30-16:30 Monday to Friday. ½ hour unpaid lunch break
Flexibility on hours required to fulfil business needs
Pension - 6%
