£55,000 - £65,000pa + bens

Who are they?

From their Norfolk base, they are currently building-out a new IT capability in-support of a major new programme for the MOD.

What is the role?
The System Administrator is responsible for providing the overall on-site maintenance and support of the system. The System Administrator serves as the primary point of contact for any questions or concerns raised by users.

Their administrative responsibilities include updating systems and software consistent with the Patch Management Plan, performing backup and recovery, and monitoring system performance. In-case of a security incident, the System Administrator assists Security in investigating the incident, assessing system impacts, and restoring the system to normal operation.

What do they need?
An individual who currently holds, or has the ability to obtain DV Clearance.
A Security+ Certification

Demonstrated system administration skills, to include: Backup/Restore/Disaster Recovery, Hardware/System Monitoring, System/Software/User Maintenance. Day to day supervision of assigned staff including career management and staff appraisals

Working knowledge of Networked Attached Storage (NAS) and supported protocols. Engineering skills required for maintaining Enterprise Server Racks.

The System Administrator should have strong working knowledge of SSL/VPN security architecture with integration into multi-layered Firewall architecture and the ability to work with EMC storage configuration tools (Navisphere, Visual SAN, Fabric Manager)
