Job title: Structural Repair Manual (SRM) Technical Author / Liaison Engineer
Location: Bristol, Bradley Stoke
Salary: £26,000 - £28,000 per annum

A position has now arisen for a Structural Repair Manual (SRM) Technical Author / Liaison Engineer, based in the Bristol office, to expedite the production of SRM Text for a major Aerospace manufacturer.

Your role will focus on the creation of documentation for a new business-class jet airplane on behalf of a world-class aircraft manufacturer.

The role will include:

o Acting as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) between our production facilities and the Customer.
o Attending face-to-face production meetings.
o Report on scheduling and quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
o Working with the production team to provide technical guidance and interpretation of provisioned source data.
o Perform quality assurance checks on SRM Text to ensure the output complies with international and client specific standards.
o Provide overflow support to the AMM and IPC teams.

The successful candidate will possess:

o Proven experience in authoring SRM Text to the ATA iSpec 2200 and ASD STE100 specifications. A working knowledge of Illustrated Parts Catalogues (IPCs) and Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMMs) would be an advantage.
o Competent in task scheduling and expediting.
o Previous knowledge of the EPIC and Sigmalink Authoring tools and SAP Production Systems and Processes a distinct advantage.
o Ability to achieve to the highest quality targets working to a comprehensive quality system.
o Ability to interpret a wide variety of source information including verbal and written communication, engineer's notes, process descriptions, technical drawings, bill of materials and various images including CAD data.
