Job DescriptionStoresperson - Yarnton - 3 months initially, will go permanent for the right person - (£10 per hour PAYE whilst contract) equivalent of around £19,000 per year
To coordinate and efficiently organise the day to day stock movements in and out of the workshop ensuring these are accurately recorded and to contribute to a safe and tidy working environment.
To store products correctly and provide an accurate stock management service
To communicate effectively with the engineering team, suppliers and couriers
To keep all relevant administration up to date
To carry out general housekeeping duties to ensure the workshop environment is tidy and compliant with health & safety legislation and best practice procedures.
To carry out manual lifting and ensure that you comply with Health & Safety procedures.
Advise the team of deliveries and keep the stores administration process up to date and accurate.
Hold a clean valid driving licence
A fork lift truck licence would be ideal
Polite, great communication skills, approachable with a 'can do' attitude, embracing change as the company grows
Strong attention to detail
A strong team player with the ability to develop positive relationships, provide excellent support to the engineering team and also able to work on your own initiative
A proactive 'hands on' approach
The ability to multi-task, work within a changing environment and to manage changing priorities
Passionate to drive continuous improvement
You must be able to travel between a couple of sites within 20 minutes of Yarnton.
The ideal candidate will have come from an automotive business ideally, or worked in the industry. You will need a can-do attitude, work well in a team and if have a passion for cars that would be a bonus too.
