Job DescriptionWe are working with a large Defence client based in Cheltenham who is looking for three Software Engineers:
Role 1: To work as part of team, contributing to the overall design & development of real time embedded software to the guidelines of DO178B/C Design Assurance Level A and associated processes.
Proven understanding & significant experience within the Aerospace industry (or similar) Ideal candidates will have experience of target hardware (PowerPC (Freescale P10xx), Coldfire, PIC Microcontroller, TMS320) with experience in requirements and/or design verification and validation.
Desired experience in use of: DOORS, TI Code Composer Studio IDE, WindRiver Workbench, LDRA (or similar)
Knowledge of network protocols inc. ARINC 664, ARINC-429, ARINC 629 and ARINC-825 (CAN) would be a benefit.
Role 2: An experienced software engineer is required to support the design and development of Avionics simulation and test systems to the guidelines of DO330 and associated processes.
Working under the direction of the Software Technical Lead and Verification Lead to implement and integrate software components to customer requirements.
Required: Significant experience within the Aerospace industry (or similar) and proven understanding of the following areas of desktop software development and test rig integration:
Interpretation of software requirements, Interpretation of software design, Implementation (languages are C++ and C#), Module test
Software/Hardware integration test and debug.
Desired: Experience in the use of Visual Studio, DOORS, Dimensions and Rally, Experience in Agile and/or iterative development processes
Knowledge of avionics protocols inc. ARINC-664, ARINC-429, ARINC-629 and ARINC-825 (CAN)
Role 3: Software Engineer to work as part of team, contributing to the overall design & development of real time embedded software to the guidelines of DO178B/C Design Assurance Level A and associated processes.
A Proven understanding & significant experience within the Aerospace industry (or similar) in the following areas of real-time, embedded software development:
SW requirements analysis, SW design, implementation (language is ST10F269 assembler) module test, integration test. Experience of STM Micro ST10F269 target processor or similar with experience in requirements and/or design verification and validation
Experience in Tasking C166/ST10 cross assembler, linker & locator
Experience in Hitex Dprobe ST10R201 ICE. Also experience in use of Dimensions
Knowledge of IEEE 1394
Exposure to support of Aerospace Certification Authority
