A Global leader in technology are seeking a Software Engineer for an exciting project working within their Transport team. Candidates should have development experience within C++ and should have worked on Linux/Unix environments. For this position candidates will need to be willing and able to undergo full Security Clearance.

Software Engineer (Java, C++, Python) - Fareham

What do they need?
Talented Software Engineers, with skills in Java, C++ and Python are required to join our dynamic team of experts in Fareham.

Working on an established programme within Global Aviation you will be given the opportunity to work on industry-leading innovations.

Day-to-day, you will support the development of a multiple award-winning ATM system and provide Air Traffic Control Officers (ATCO) with enhancements to in-service and future air traffic control systems.

Working in a dynamic environment you will employ your knowledge of engineering standards and principles to deliver against all software development activities throughout the development life cycle to meet sprint milestones.

What will you have?
Proven Software Engineering/Development experience and knowledge of the software life cycle - requirements analysis, design, testing and maintenance phases.

Your technology-background will including the following core skills:
* Unix/Linux operating systems
* Java, C / C++, Python, PL/SQL, HTML, Javascript
* Scripting knowledge (e.g. Bourne shell, Perl, Python)
* Knowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL Databases

Nice to have:
* Unix JBOSS, Apache Tomcat, WebLogic, Oracle, MySQL
* WebSockets, AMQP, Vagrant, Docker, Kubernetes, Platform as a Service or microservices
* Familiarity with web development / SOA / configuration
