Position Description:
Located within the Product Development, Powertrain department EMS APC team is responsible the advanced development activities for engine management systems. The team performs the upfront analysis and development of new features and technologies to enable their progression to the delivery teams. In order to support a major technology development programme for our future generation of Vehicle gasoline engines, an experienced control systems development engineer is required to join the team.

Skills Required:
1. Engine Management Experience
2. Controls System Development Experience
3. Failure Mode Avoidance Techniques

Experience Required:
" Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent subject.
" Strong understanding of gasoline engine operation and control
" Experience of control system development

Experience Preferred:
" Experience of requirement development for embedded control systems using Failure Mode Avoidance techniques
" 2+ years' experience in embedded systems development (e.g. engine management or equivalent) * Experience software rapid prototyping tools
" Experience w/ MATLAB / Simulink

Additional Information:
In order to be successful in this role, candidates require both hard technical skills and soft skills e.g. negotiation, team working.
