The role is for a Simulation and Modelling Engineer within Seeker Division. The role includes responsibility for development and maintenance of performance models used for performance studies as well as on real-time embedded platforms.
Job Description2361125 - Simulation & Modelling Engineer
Developing, maintaining and modifying system models as assigned by the Project Team Leader. Participation in developing, maintaining and modifying existing models. Specifying tests and producing appropriate test harnesses to support model testing. The production and use of test vectors for target performance validation.
Additional Job Details:
Experience or understanding of the following technical areas would be beneficial: Requirements specification and system architecture design * Algorithm development and implementation * System performance modelling and auto-code for embedded software * Systems validation and proving * Experience in generating large scale complex simulations in Simulink * FORTRAN programming * Understanding of FPGA algorithm implementation. You will ideally be degree qualified or equivalent with at least 3 of the following skills and experience: * Significant, relevant experience with knowledge of RF systems or radar an advantage * Substantial analytical and problem solving skills * Signal processing and Fourier analysis * Closed-loop control design and analysis * Robust validation and verification methods and use of unit testing approaches * Extensive experience with the use of MATLAB/Simulink including large-scale simulations * Development and maintenance of efficient simulation environments * Sensor modelling including Monte Carlo capability * Embedded algorithm development * Software development, including fluency in C, C++, FORTRAN or Visual Basic * Kalman filter analysis and development (including extended Kalman filters) * Statistical analysis of stochastic systems
