Permanent position
£45,000 - £55,000

What do they need?
Systems Administrators to both support the company's own internal development teams, and to work on customer deployments of their hardware products.

As an experienced Systems Administrator, you will be expected to support Linux-based IT infrastructure with the company's own unique, state-of-the-art computing systems and some elements of Windows. You will also work on the development of products and services that are based on Linux, FreeNAS, and Cloud (AWS) technologies.

What will I be doing?
Maintaining, improving and documenting internal IT infrastructure, services and networks
Building and modifying bespoke hardware systems
Customer facing, hardware deployment and support
Setting-up and deploying virtual machines, workstations, and servers
Providing general technical support (mainly Linux, some Windows/OS X)
Developing, improving and maintaining internal systems automation infrastructure
Maintaining and improving company-wide IT procedures across our offices in Europe and USA (e.g., backup and disaster recovery)

What will I bring?
You will need a degree or equivalent professional qualification in IT Systems/Computing
Superb core skills in Red Hat Enterprise Linux or CentOS 6/7
Programming ability using two or more scripting languages: Bash, Python, perl, ruby, etc.
Hands-on experience with virtualisation technologies - Proxmox, KVM, Citrix etc.
Advanced knowledge of FreeNAS, ZFS or similar storage technologies
Excellent diagnostic and communication skills
Expert knowledge of networking
