What do they need?
A Security Analyst is required on a permanent basis, to identify risks, vulnerabilities and
incidents and manage them to an acceptable risk level.
The Security Analyst will also be responsible for monitoring the baseline security controls throughout the company and report on exceptions. They may be involved in providing support on baseline security controls in IT projects.
What will you have?
The Security Analyst will have a proven background in managing risks, vulnerabilities and incidents, within large, complex organisations.
You should have a professional security management qualification, such as CISSP, CISAM or CISA
The Security Analyst should have experience with common information security management frameworks, such as ISO 17799/27001 and ITIL
You will also have a solid understanding of network protocols (IP, TCP/UDP, ICMP) and a good understanding of Windows/UNIX operating systems and their security
characteristics and operations.
It would be very beneficial if you understood the potential risks and threats to the UK energy sector, smart metering, network, consumer technologies and customer data
