Senior Engineer - Hybrid Drive Systems
Frankfurt, Germany

Are you a hybrid systems engineer who wants to use their knowledge of hybrid propulsion systems, battery technologies, mild-hybridisation, power electronics and more to shape the future high performance vehicles of a global car brand? Are you a real 'data-cruncher' who wants to collect information gathered from the industry, colleagues, research institutes, suppliers and seminars to develop models of cleaner technologies yet bear in mind their effect on vehicle dynamics, ride & handling?

A global automotive industry player are looking to capitalise on the European market by making the vehicles higher performers, more enjoyable to drive and more comfortable. This could be the chance for you to see your concepts pushed in to full series manufacture!

About you:

+ Ideally degree qualified, An MSc or PhD in an engineering discipline would be preferred - specific to powertrain would be spot on!
+ Chartered engineer or another industry-recognised membership would be good.
+ A confident communicator who can actively promote their ideas internally.

Skills/Knowledge:

+ A proven knowledge of hybrid powertrain systems, electric motors, inverters, batteries...maybe even fuel cells (less desirable).
+ Expert level user of MatLab/Simulink - you will be researching and benchmarking a variety of current and future technologies.
+ Be able to actively scrutinise your own work, looking to continually improve and research your ideas.
+ A confident user of Catia V5 - someone who can visualise and model their ideas of hybrid powertrain systems.
