Our client is looking for a Repairs and Test Technician to work on its line of seismic instrumentation at their site in Reading.

Repair and Test Technician

£20k-£24k

Opportunity to join the Repairs team with the responsibility of testing the instruments that pass through the department, fault finding and undertaking repairs to component level.

Responsibilities
- Testing a range of instruments with a range of processes - both analogue sensors and digitisers
- Working through a list of prioritised repairs, with a focus on digitisers
- Maintaining a work log on an internal support system
- There will be some requirement to assist with day to day activities of the wider repair team.
- Interacting with the Support team

SKILLS AND EXPERTISE
Essential
- Ability to identify or infer faults from test behaviour, originating from previous test experience
- Technical background, mechanical and electronic (Academic and/or Industry)
- Ability to undertake repairs work

Desirable
- Electronics knowledge
- -Computer literacy
- Familiarity with Linux
- Experience using an ERP system
- Excellent soldering skills
- Field Experience
