Regional Manager/ Account Manager
A leading organisation in Basingstoke are looking for a Regional Manager/ Account manager to join their talented team.
Job DescriptionA Key client of mine is looking for a Regional Manager/ Account manager to join an award winning client in Basingstoke.
The main purpose of the role:
Manage your own existing customers to ensure that they continue to buy from the organisation whilst seeking to maximise the relationship by up selling new products and services.
Develop territories where the organisation has supplied in the past so that they buy once more from them.
Support senior sales staff in key territories with a view to assuming total responsibility for them in the medium term.
To maximise short and long term value and profitability by assisting in and enhancing the management of existing customer relationships.
Role and responsibilities:
" Develop and agree with the Regional Director the sales targets and sales pipeline
" Achieve Sales Targets: Ensure achievement of targets for sales revenue, order receipt and cash flow
" Align with Team objectives and divisional targets
" Have a detailed understanding of market conditions and pricing history for the customer in order to be able to price jobs and/or make recommendations to the Regional Director to meet annual targets for contribution and group strategy to increase margins
" Develop and maintain close relations with the customer to enable accurate positioning and forecasting of customer requirements
" Identify opportunities for upselling products and services
" Manage the pipeline and reporting for your customers, ensuring timely movement of opportunities through pipeline to successful conclusion
" Build and manage strong relationships both with the customer and throughout the organisation to enable first class account management by leveraging design, commercial and project management resources
" Ensure accurate and timely following of the administrative and order processing procedures in order to achieve completion of the customer requirements
b. Manage Agents and TPP
" Manage your own TPP's adequately: Oversee and direct regional managers to performance manage third party sales partnerships to support and grow the business. Ensure compliance with Group policy on recruitment and reappointment of TPPs and on transition of identified TPP's to a monthly remuneration with reduction of agency commissions
" Ensure compliance with Group policy on recruitment and reappointment of Third Party Partners (TPPs) and on reduction of agency commissions and consultancy rates
" Keep agents and consultants regularly updated on product and competitive information, making recommendations for changes as necessary to the Regional Director
" Maintain close liaison with all other divisions within the Group as it is appropriate to the region and make recommendations in respect of other division's activities as necessary
" Provide Marketing with market intelligence on customers and competitor activity in a timely manner
Manage internal stakeholders
" Support the behaviour of working as one, sharing best practice and collaborating with colleagues outside of own sphere of business
" Operate within budget and reduce costs where appropriate. Ensure targets are met within budget
Extended and regular overseas travel required, often in challenging environments/situations both for your own customers and in support of your team
" Ensure that you always act and behave in a way compliant with all company guidelines and policies, especially those relating to values and behaviours, environmental health and safety, ethics and codes of conduct, as it is through living our
" Successful track record of account management
" Successful relationship management and the ability to develop relationships to increase sales revenue
" Successful track record of detailed and accurate account planning
" Experience of managing third party (agents/consultants/partners etc) relationships
" Experience of sales processes in other blue chip organisations is an advantage, as well as proven industry-relevant sales experience
" Familiarity of dealing with Governments and B2G environment a distinct advantage
" Language skills will be a requirement or a benefit for certain customers (languages that may be required: Arabic)
This role is paying between £68,500 - £83,700 + car allowance and sales incentive (Depending on level of experience})
