The proposed candidate would be based on site working with a hands on site manager with a Carpentry background. The project is the refurbishment of an existing house (stately home of 15,000 Sq ft) into 7 flats, along with the construction of 4 semi detached houses over basement with living accommodation and car parking. The overall contract value is over £6million. This is a traditional JCT contract with a design team appointed by the Client.
Job DescriptionThe candidates duties would include the following:
Prepare packages for tender.
Getting new and old sub contractors in advance of sending tender packages of their ability to carry out the works.
Reviewing and analysing tenders before placing orders with sub contractors.
Carrying out valuations with sub contractors and agreeing final accounts.
Monthly payments issued to HO via JPA's.
Monthly Cost reporting against job budgets.
Liaising with Cost Consultants on variations and costs for additional items.
Monthly meetings with the design team.
Forthrightly meetings with the PM and Site Manager on progress of sub contractor appointments my programme and quality of works.
These are some of the items the candidate would undertake.
Should the above candidate work well with the team and prove to be capable of working on their own initiative and have the experience to grow with the Company, there is the potential to move forward on additional sites or works in the future.
