Quality Inspector

Reporting & peers
This role reports to QHSE Manager
Other reporting relationships Machine Shop Manager / Foreman / Inspection Team
Positions reporting to this role None

Key Accountabilities /

" Conducting inspection of machined parts for the oil and gas industry
" Operating within quality manuals and specifications set out by clients
" Maintaining regular inspection records
" Reporting quality issues and non-conformances
" The ability to read and interpret component drawing with geometric tolerances (GD&T)
" Manual inspections using gauges, height gauges, clock slips, Verniers and micrometers etc.


" Use and setting of inspection measuring and test equipment within an engineering environment
" Able to operate and modify programmes on a CMM and interpret CMM data
" Able to write programs for CMM
" Understanding of the general requirements ISO 9001:2008
" Interpretation of customer documentation

" Understanding of quality improvement tools and techniques
" Understanding of the AS 9100 standard and ISO 9001

" Capable of running and / or programming CMMs
