One of the world's largest defence organisations are now seeking a Quality Inspector to join their team in Bedfordshire. The successful applicant will use predetermined methods, operations, setups and prescribed specifications to inspect visually in-process and completed products. Experience in a similar inspection role within a manufacturing organisation is required, ideally with a mixture of electrical & mechanical skills.

Location: Bedfordshire (Commutable from: Milton Keynes, Bedford, Luton, Stevenage, Leighton Buzzard, Northampton)
One of the world's largest defence organisations are now seeking a Quality Inspector to join their team in Bedfordshire. This is an initial 5 month contract with rates up to £30 per hour Ltd. Due to the nature of the work, all applicants must be able and willing to obtain SC clearance.
The successful Quality Inspector will use predetermined methods, operations, setups and prescribed specifications to inspect visually in-process and completed products such as electronic units and subsystems, precision electromechanical assemblies or mechanical units, subassemblies, structural flaws, internal defects and missing welds.
Other responsibilities will include CofC, FAIR, Inspection Plans, Non-Conformance Management, use of Inspection Notes, Calibration of gauges and measuring equipment, Metrology equipment utilisation & Goods-In inspection.
* Experience in a similar inspection role within a manufacturing organisation
* Experience in the use of some of the following metrology equipment; CMM / Laser Tracker / Faro Arm
* Experience in CMM programming via PC-DMIS software
* A Detailed understanding of first principle methodology
* Experience in Goods-in and Source Release activities
* Involvement within Calibration activities
* Creation of Non Conformance reports and associated Root Cause Analysis
* Experience in Electrical testing
* Strong SAP user skills
* Ability to work within a high pressure production environment
* Strong people engagement and communication skills
