Our client are now seeking to recruit a Quality Engineer to join the Quality team in Southampton office.

Quality Engineer
Location - Southampton
Up to £24k

Reporting to the Production & Site Services Manager, the duties include being responsible for managing all parts/products submitted via incoming goods inward system, supervising quality of shop floor tasks, assessing and supporting the development of processes to deliver quality products to its expanding customer base. Working with the other business functions the role will involve process improvement, process auditing, developing suppliers and ensuring product quality.

This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week (Monday - Thursday, 7:30am - 4pm and Friday, 7:30am - 12:30pm). Occasionally, you may be required to work outside of normal working hours to support business needs.

Requirements:
" IT Literate - has excellent IT skills in Word, Excel and Power Point.
" Ability to read engineering drawings.
" Experience of Computer measurement machinery, such as CMM and FARO Arm Inspection
" Demonstrate analytical skills - data into actionable outcomes
" Degree Qualified (or equivalent experience) in technical discipline (Mech Eng preferred) with experience in a quality/engineering role.
" Experience in key problem solving and continuous improvement techniques.
" Knowledge of FAIR, PFEMAs, Process Quality Control Plan implementation.
" Auditing experience (internally and at suppliers)
