Quality Control Leader - Essex - starting salary £41,969 with a chance to increase with salary review - Root Cause Analysis Experience Essential

A leading manufacturer of machinery for niche industries is seeking a skilled Quality Control Leader to join their team in Essex. In this role you will supervise the quality function within the Essex factory to ensure product quality is improved and maintained and procedures are followed in order to meet internal and external customer requirements. As the successful Quality Control Leader you will lead the QC team in all inspection activities and ensure that all production requirements and deliveries are met.

The Role:
" To effectively train, manage and lead the QC team in all required inspection activities.
" To ensure QC processes are monitored and improved to reduce the 8 wastes.
" Conduct parts and process audits.
" Support customer complaint investigations & support containments and improvement actions.
" To manage the template, calibration and standard systems.
" To coach and train the QC team to ensure the customer requirements are understood and followed.
" Confident in liaising with internal/external customers
" Support Quality Assurance activities including conducting internal audits and input into FMEAs and Control Plans
" Liaise with interested parties to ensure that root cause is identified to prevent further re-occurrence.

Requirements:
" Degree level education, ideally in Quality or through experience
" Minimum of 2 years leading & managing a team
" Auditor trained in ISO 9001
" Must have experience of root cause analysis, problem solving and / or 8D methodologies.
" Must have excellent understanding of lean manufacturing tools and techniques.
" Experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment would be ideal.
" Must have experience of FMEA and control plans.
" Expert knowledge of calibration & working knowledge of Gauge Repeatability & Reproducibility

The Package:
Salary - £41,969 starting salary then up to £42,862 in the first 6 months.
Flexible Working Hours
Working Hours - 07:30-15:00
Pension Scheme - The company pension contribution is one and a half times the employee contribution, up to a maximum of 6%
