COMPANY
An established but rapidly growing IT managed services provider with deep expertise in Audio Visual, Unified Communications and Collaboration technologies.
They partner with innovative leading vendors such as;
Cisco (Cisco Master Collaboration), Polycom (Platinum partner), Microsoft, Starleaf and Fuze.

THE ROLE
You will be reporting to the Head of Projects and will be responsible for the management of a range of projects within Audio Visual, Video Conferencing and Unified Communications. These projects will range in size and value and while the majority will be UK only, some may include integration locations and customers. The role of the Project Manager is to own and drive all elements of the project including budgets, risk, plans and the customer, ensuring that they are delivered on time, to budget and within scope. You will be assisted by a Project Coordinator who will deliver tasks according to your project plan.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES (include but not limited to)
The Project Manager will be responsible for Initiating projects correctly including internal hangovers from Sales
Setting up full project governance including the project folder structure & internal and customer kick off meetings
Full project governance including plans, scopes, risks and issues logs etc.
Budget controls
Creating weekly Project Highlight Reports for customer and internal review to enable effective project tracking
Work with the Project Coordinator to ensure that all relevant tasks are retold and completed in line with the project plan including ordering of hardware, scheduling of engineering resources, receipt of hardware, asset Register creation & shipping of hardware
Complete effective exception management during the project lifecycle
Effective escalation
Assist with continuous team and process improvements
Capture and manage all project variation to ensure all areas of potential impact are assessed, internal costs are approved and customer costs are covered under new POs and approvals

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
To be successful in this post, we'll be looking to find someone that is organised, has a great eye for detail and enjoys working efficiently. The successful candidate will need to understand that strength is key to successful project delivery and that having the ability to lead both the virtual team and the customer will result in success.
You understand what provides you with your personal reward in what you do, knowing that your work and your work ethic will drive you in this role.
You must have a good working knowledge of all areas of project documentation and project governance. Knowledge of the audio visual and unified communications market place will be a distinct advantage.

The following skills are essential:
Previous experience in a Project Management role is essential
Minimum of Prince2 Foundation Certified, ideally you will hold Prince2 Practitioner Certification
Previous experience in Audio Visual or Video Conferencing Project Management is essential
Excellent organisational and Communication skills
Strong knowledge around Project documentation, Project Management Systems and management information tools
Change Management experience
Ability to work on your own initiative
Ability to resolve issues with a problem solving mind-set
Able to successfully influence others, lead people and teams
Ability to travel UK wide when needed (although most projects will be London/South based)
Confidence is a must, must be prepared to challenge
Strength when dealing with others
Strong planning skills are essential to successfully deliver projects in a challenge environment to challenging timescales
A flexible approach to working
Experience of dealing with multiple vendors would be of great interest
