We have an opportunity within a leading automotive client, based out of their Warwickshire head office. Position Description:
Automatic Transmissions Calibration are responsible for all aspects of the transmission software that includes the shift scheduling, shift functionality and shift quality. These attributes combine to form the transmission calibration attribute. Transmission calibration work closely with transmissions controls and transmission hardware team. The department is based in the Whitley Powertrain building. The role is that of project team leader within the calibration team working closely with the technical team leader for a range of applications on inline transmissions. The project team leader is responsible for ensuring that the programme is delivered on time to the gateway delivery framework, to cost and that any roadblocks are removed to ensure that the delivery glide path is maintained. They will also be responsible for responding to new programme requests and ensuring that any resources required to support the delivery are delivered. They will report into the GL directly and be expected to represent their programmes in senior forums to communicate the status and discuss issues. The project team leader will work closely with the module team and other key COCs. The candidate would be required to have excellent project management skills, good technical skills and excellent communications and organisational qualities.

Skills Required:
1. A proven track record of engineering programme delivery.
2. Excellent communication skills and business behaviours.
3. Able to work to a high standard with minimum supervision.
4. Flexibility and able to work under pressure and to project gateway requirements.

Experience Required:
" Highly self-motivated engineer with proven inter-personal communication/networking skills.
" Experience of working in an Engineering environment.
" Experience of project management delivery
" Technical understanding of Powertrain & Transmission systems Relevant Engineering Degree or higher.

Experience Preferred:
- Experience of supplier management and co-ordination - Working knowledge of auto trans hardware functionality and testing - Able to work cross functionally across several powertrain sections
