Position Description:
A Project Engineer within the Powertrain Research team will be expected to take ownership of the following: Manage the coordination of technology delivery projects within the process and the additional collaborative requirements of government funded projects to ensure successful delivery of new technologies into Powertrain. Support a cross-functional product development team, including engineers and key strategic suppliers, and for TSB projects liaise with partners to ensure successful project completion. Champion Transmission and Driveline Research process improvements. Support project planning and budgets to ensure timely delivery to agreed costs and support finance reviews including grant claims for TSB projects. Support the project lead engineering team to maximise their effectiveness of project delivery. Further strengthen the communication linkages with the wider business.

Skills Required:
1. Technical Engineering Toolsets i.e. Simulink & Matlab.
2. Good communication (presentation, verbal and written) skills with ability to support cross functional team to ensure complex problem resolution and robust delivery.
3. Excellent Project Management and Planning skills, Self-Motivated, enthusiastic leader and a good team player with experience in co-ordinating the actions of a multi-disciplined team essential.

Experience Required:
Technical experience within either Electrification and Hybridisation or Transmission and Driveline project. Preferably within the Automotive industry.

Education Required:
Preferably Degree Qualified.
