Job Description

Project Engineer - Plastic Injection Mouldings
Commutable from; Banbury, Buckingham, Aylesbury, Milton Keynes, Daventry, Gaydon.
Salary; £30,000 - £35,000 + Benefits

This is a fantastic opportunity for a proven Project Engineer to join a growing and global Tier I supplier who supply exterior products to a majority of the premium Automotive OEM's around the world. They are now looking for another Project Engineer to join their close-knit team and help successfully deliver their products and projects to the Automotive marketplace.

Main Job Purpose:
To effectively manage, drive and control single or multiple components and mechanisms, meeting all goals of timing, cost, quality and customer satisfaction. You will also be forward thinking, identifying any weaknesses at the earliest stage possible and propose solutions to resolve them.

Key Responsibilities :

- To liaise with and maintain a good working relationship with the customer(s).
- To participate in customer project meetings and visits when required.
- Control and delivery of budgets for prototypes, development and tooling expenditure
- Maintain multiple project timing plans and highlight concern areas
- Participate in project meetings with the project team as appropriate
- Communicate clearly issues to the project team and plan resources for components accordingly.
- Responsible for preparation of commercial aspects, especially engineering changes and traceability of these through the project.
- Support SPM in cost drive initiatives on current business.
- Manage Engineering Changes on current production parts.

Experience and Qualifications:

- Ideally educated to degree or equivalent level in technically based subject, either Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Automotive, Aerospace Engineering etc.
- Relevant Project engineering experience, ideally with some qualification e.g. Prince2 or PMP.
- Motivation and drive to see products through from requirement stage to manufacture.
- Computer literate in Microsoft office programmes including MS Project.
- A Clear, confident communicator and presenter who is unflappable in 'hostile situations' - This is Essential!
