Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) operates as a ¿business within the business¿, set up with a nimble/commercially minded outlook to leverage the increasing desire of our customers to personalise their vehicles. Key strategy elements include :- ¿ Push the boundaries of the Brands to create high premium Niche ¿Halo¿ Performance & Luxury vehicles. ¿ Enhance premium customer experience through vehicle penalisation and exclusivity. ¿ Design and develop profitable range of armoured vehicles. The department continues to undertake significant growth and has circ 50 projects in delivery at any one time. The Chassis Project Engineer role will be key to supporting the Armour Engineering Manager in co-ordination and delivery of the engineering across multiple projects on a specific platform. The role reports to the Armour Engineering Manager. Key Responsibilities The role is to be Chassis project and technical lead for Armour projects that will require the candidate to pick up the project and company environment they are working in quickly and run with the project. The project will be to deliver a Chassis system from concept to delivery. The role will include full project management of the system and will require a good level of technical capability to manage issues and resolve problems in a technical and pragmatic way. Full support of vehicle level project meetings, Vehicle Engineering meetings, Chassis CoC interface, Build support, DVP development with Vehicle Engineering and CoC. Task planning and co-ordination for all Armour Chassis activities and their deliverable into gateway meetings.

Skills Required:
1. Chassis Engineering system knowledge and capability. Ability to deliver product from initial concept right through to production for niche low volume products.
2. High drive, self-motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision.

Experience Required:
Engineering Degree.
High drive, self-motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision.
Candidates must be committed, flexible and able to work under pressure.
The candidate must have a record of proactive delivery and commitment to meeting deadlines.
The candidate must be flexible with regard to multiple site working during launch.
Experience within the Armour automotive industry.
Previous Chassis System development experience
Experience of a role showing both technical and project management capabilities.
Experience of PCDS and all engineering planning and delivery processes is essential i.e. AIM's, DFMEA, eFDVS / RMDV, WERS, RFQ, PDS"

Experience Preferred:
Experience in projects from pre to Job 1 inc launch support.
Experience within Catia, Digibuck, Team Centre
Automotive Engineering experience with an understanding of automotive product creation and delivery tools like enovia PLM
Supplier management ¿ iPLM
Chassis System DV
Software Skills - PC Literate, MS Office Proficiency, MS Project knowledge
