We have an opportunity within a leading automotive client, based out of their Warwickshire head office. As Project Engineer we feel this opportunity would be a great move for someone already within the Automotive Industry and will allow you to work in a forward-thinking and market leading business.

Position Description:

Reporting to the Module Leader -Driveline and Module Project Leader. The role involves being the single point contact for Driveline team of platforms in the delivery phase up to J1+90 days. The role also involves the rationalisation of issues across these departments ensuring that the teams are actively engaged and to facilitate communications from the delivery teams into Vehicle Engineering. Another aspect of the role is the management and reporting of key delivery metrics for the relevant programme ensuring that these are accurately communicated to the teams and fed into the relevant senior manager and Programme review meetings. In this role you will have a close liaison with other powertrain departments, interfacing COC's, programme and vehicle teams.

Skills Required:

1) Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to confidently communicate technical information at all levels.
2) Proven ability to Project Manage interactions across systems and within a multi-site team.
3) Able to demonstrate proven capability in Leadership Skills.

Experience Required:
Good level of MS Office skills essential. Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills at all levels within the business. Good understanding of problem solving principles. Proven ability to Project Manage interactions across systems and within a multi-site team. Self-starter - will be responsible for moving multiple Programmes forward with minimal guidance. A motivated self-starter who demonstrates 'My Business' mentality and is capable of empowered decision making.

Experience Preferred:
An understanding of Powertrain Systems including, but not limited to Driveline Systems. Knowledge of Programme Management tools and systems essential. A pro-active approach to adoption of new technologies, standards and changing working practices. Previous automotive experience preferable but not essential. Knowledge and use of Problem solving tools (Six sigmal, 8D, DMAIC) would be advantageous.

Additional Information :
LOCATION: Whitley/Gaydon Automotive or Engineering work experience working in technical departments and reporting to Senior management. Proven project management skills with the ability to project manage across multiple teams and projects.
