Job title: Product Safety & Reliability Lead
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000
Location: Loughborough, Leicestershire

I am looking for a confident Engineer to join a busy, expanding company. You will need to be an excellent Product Safety and Reliability professional with a passion for your craft. You should have an Engineering degree (or equivalent) and Post Graduate qualifications in Quality or Safety/RAMS Engineering.

Your key skills and experience should be;

Experience:
" Broad Product Lifecycle exposure (Concept through to Service Operations)
" Broad Business Process exposure
" Advance safety planning
" Production of Safety Cases
" Significant Product knowledge within the Hydrogen sector
Key Skills:
" Capable of using safety tools and techniques (Hazard Assessment, FMEA, FTA, FRACAS etc)
" RAMS engineering
" Proactive Management of non-conformance
" Cross-Functional Team Leadership
" Agent for Change
" Functional safety assessment
" Risk Management & Failure Investigation

The Product Safety & Reliability Lead promotes awareness of Product Safety, reliability and maintainability (RAM), provides expertise in all areas relevant to the Safety and RAM of the Product Portfolio and is responsible for the development of Safety and RAM strategy, programme plans and procedures and for the management and implementation of Safety Assurance requirements.
The purpose of the Product Safety & Reliability Lead is to ensure the ultimate success of the Product portfolio through design, test, manufacture, deployment and operation. This is accomplished by participation in all phases of the product lifecycle, to ensure that Business and Customer requirements are met, to identify critical activities and risks, apply lessons learnt and continuous improvement.

Key Accountabilities:
" Product Safety Assurance Strategy throughout all stages of product life-cycle
" Product Compliance to Regulatory & Legislative Requirements
" Product Compliance with RAM related design aims
" Product RAM performance assessment and analysis
" FRACAS Management
" Safety Process Development, Integration into IMS and Continuous Improvement
" Cross-Functional Safety Programmes
" Meeting Customer, Stakeholder, Legislative and Regulatory Requirements
" Safeguarding the Company's Assets (Company reputation and value)
" Protecting the legal interests of the organisation and reducing exposure to litigation.
" Design and Implementation of the Safety Governance model
" Manages internal and coordinates external Certification activities
