Job Description
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Pre-Sales Solution Architect to join a rapidly expanding start-up, who provide and create ground-breaking software-based storage solutions. You will support technical teams and enterprise accounts across financial services, media, retail, government and service provider sectors to trial their product/run PoCs. The pre-sales solution architect will identify and resolve any issues or feature gaps, take the engagement from concept to solution adoption into production, become a reference customer, and grow deployments within accounts.

This client is in partnership with Docker and is a member of both the Linux Foundation and the Cloud Native Computing Foundation. Their product can be deployed as a container into Docker, Kubernetes and Mesos environments and provides storage for databases, shared workloads, and other container-based applications. Based from their London office, you'll be joining a friendly team with great people in an environment with empowered engineers, flexible working conditions, and a focus on skill development.

The ideal candidate will have a background in Docker and strong exposure to Kubernetes, other Cloud-Native tools would also be beneficial. You should also be familiar with Linux as a development environment. You'll need to be comfortable with modern application architectures, including messaging, key/value stores, security, and microservices.

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements

A deep technical background in Linux and design and technical experience of Docker and Kubernetes, strong organisational and planning skills and strong verbal and written communications.

Essential Requirements:

Identify key technical contacts to target
Technical explanations of the solutions to customers
Identify and assisting developers and architects to create innovative designs for different use cases
Drive the POC process, capturing customer feedback, documenting requirements, communicating priorities internally
Develop the solution within a customer’s organisation to overcome technical objections
Create high-quality customer facing solution design proposals and documentation
Champion the product and the technical relationship to deliver growth.
This role is designed to focus on UK strategic customers, but as many of these are global organisations travel may be required for new customers.

Desirable Experience

Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, and Mesosphere hands-on experience
Experience with Automation, cloud storage and cloud providers (AWS, Google, MS Azure)
Software storage product knowledge e.g. Ceph, Gluster
SAAS technical pre-sales experience
Great communication skills
