We have an opportunity within a leading automotive client, based out of their Warwickshire head office. Powertrain Project Leader will be responsible for designing and developing all early Powertrain systems.

We have an opportunity within a leading automotive client, based out of their Warwickshire head office. Powertrain Project Leader will be responsible for designing and developing all early Powertrain systems.

Position Description:
Powertrain Project Leader responsible for the delivery of Propulsion concepts from strategy and research to Propulsion Core Commodity Delivery teams. Responsible for leading a specific Propulsion project through to delivery gateway and have control of effective communication of the programme status and requirements. As pre Project Leader, have technical ownership of the Project pre deliverables, including concept package, attributes, weight and CAE maturity, to support the gateway.

Skills Required:
1) High Level of programme or project management, meeting demanding timescales, budget control and cost effective delivery essential. Demonstrate ding significant experience in this area.
2) Good communication, interpersonal skills, self-confidence and self-motivation are the personal qualities needed to succeed in this high pressure environment, being able to deliver with minimum supervision.
3) A good knowledge of Product Development processes and principles are essential in order to support the review and approval of feasible concept product actions to ensure robust implementation and compatibility with downstream systems through to production.

Experience Required:
Demonstrable capability to dive deep into the details of an issue and maintain focus to close it out. Proven ability to develop Propulsion concepts into systems which will deliver the required attributes for future product. Demonstrate an ability to adopt a modular approach for concept solutions, which delivers an architectural solution. A proven ability to work with & influence cross-functional teams with opposing views / requirements Knowledge of vehicle installation requirements & Powertrain functionality are a benefit relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Experience Preferred:
Highly confident in communicating Engineering solutions and programme status within all levels of the business. Expected to be self-motivated and adaptable to changing demands combined with a strong ability to persuade and convince. Able to demonstrate a passion for the development of products and show evidence of forging good working relationships across a variety of departments.
