Are you a degree qualified test technician who is looking for that step up to engineer level and want to contribute more towards the development rather than just the hands-on aspects? If so, a Bedfordshire based automotive consultancy require 2 x test engineers to join the growing powertrain team and support a wide variety of OEM customer projects.
As a test engineer you will be responsible for meeting with OEM clients to understand what they require from their engine test programme, create a test specification, turn that in to a functional set of instructions for technicians to carry out, oversee the test (maybe even roll up your sleeves and perform the test with them!), collate the engine data, analyse the data, draw conclusions before presenting your findings and recommendations to the client.
+ Ideally from an engine dynamometer background where you have used AVL, Ricardo or Horiba systems.
+ One or more of Emissions, durability, validation, calibration, performance, component, fuels & lubricant testing.
+ Exposure to ETAS INCA/AVL Concerto/CP Cadet or similar.
+ Confident dealing with OEM customers.
+ Ideally degree qualified in an engineering discipline or HNC/HND backed up with a significant test engineering background.
+ Play a part in a busy and buoyant global market.
