Job Title/s: Project Engineer, Development Engineer, Power Management Engineer

An opportunity has arisen within a leading automotive client, based out of their central Location. Reporting to the Job Title, the role of Job Title is responsible for project managing and applying Low voltage (12v), power generation and storage for passenger vehicles and LCV.

Candidate Requirements:
-Have relevant experience in automotive electrical and electronic development having been involved in a minimum of one vehicle development, or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience, e.g. in aerospace.
-Have excellent communication skills, across different cultures and among people whose first language is not English.
-Be competent with PC applications such as MS Office etc.
-Be self-motivated and self-managing. Pro-active. Positive. Energetic personality and flexible regarding working practice and working hours.
-Be analytical and quality conscious. Keen attention to detail
-Have good inter-personal skills to ensure cooperation from engineers inside and outside the Electrical Department
-Preferably be degree educated
-Familiarity with electrical architecture or other similar automotive architecture
-Sensitivity to Japanese working practices and culture
-Knowledge of software and hardware development
-Project management experience. The scale of the project(s) is not important but an understanding of milestones, risks, corrective actions, reporting etc. would be an asset.
-A basic understanding of electrical theory and the operation of electronic devices.

-Responsibility for the management and QCT of potential such as:
*12V battery
*DC-DC converters
*Large Capacitors
*Manage the component developments within vehicle projects from Cost, Quality and timing perspective
