The project is contracted to supply both hardware and software infrastructure solutions to support the transition to a cloud bases solution, based on Windows 2003/2008/2012 server and desktop products, whilst ensuring ongoing connection and support to "legacy" systems. This is a multi-phased operation involving the development of many new solutions and the re-implementation of existing products in the environment.

- Provides every user with a Quality of Service that is appropriate to that user's operational or business requirements.

Day to Day Responsibilities

- Member of a small team of security specialists developing, testing and implementing solutions to meet customer requirements in the development of a PKI and Certificate infrastructure.
- Will be responsible for authoring of Low Level Designs (LLDs) for the PKI solution, and prototyping and documenting the solution prior to formal handover into build/packaging.
- Ability to communicate with both the customer and internal workstreams effectively to ensure a consistent, coherent approach is undertaken.
- Participation on various internal / customer joint participation programs aimed at strategically developing the PKI infrastructure in such a way as to support future interoperability with allies.
- Identification, in conjunction with the customer, of areas where the PKI capability can add value to / enhance / replace existing customer solutions. Give consultancy in identified areas to the customer and other workstreams.

Essential Skills
- High documentation standard
- Evidence of having delivered successful solutions on very large project
- Strong PKI awareness

- Windows Server platform
- Experience & Understanding of the Systems Integration issues surrounding PKI and Certificate deployment and use

Desirable Skills
Exposure to any of the following products / technologies:
- Entrust Authority
- Microsoft Certificate services
- SafeNet HSMs
- DAP
- Defence/HMG knowledge
- CISSP or similar certification
