We have an opportunity within a leading automotive client, based out of their Warwickshire head office. Position Description:
The Commodity Package Engineer is primarily accountable for the package compatibility of a commodity cross platform and will provide the material to support the Platform Power Pack Leader (3PL) in the cross-system package convergence. He is responsible for the package deliverables at gateway and will provide the required CAD to the PT CAE team.

Skills Required:
1. Significant (ie 5+ years) Exhaust/Air Induction system design and development experience, from concept package to designing for manufacture.
2. Project management experience - must be capable of leading / delivering multiple projects with excellent communication and negotiation skills to facilitate resolution to complex package issues.
3. Experience in managing the workload of a team of offshore and on-shore CAD Designers ensuring that key dates are met. This will include the coaching and development of the off shore team to improve their exhaust design and development knowledge, particularly in the area of designing for manufacture.

Experience Required:
Automotive experience. Minimum HND Mechanical / Production Engineering. "Prototype sheet metal fabrication and welding experience Plastic Moulding design and/or manufacturing experience. Plastic moulding experience.

Additional Information:
Also required to travel to Gaydon.
