Who are they?
A global giant in the defence, science & technology world; they employ over 120,000 people worldwide and is responsible for some of the most important programmes within both the public and private sectors.

In Warminster, they are responsible for managing assets for the UK MOD (5 million in total) and they have been doing this for over 10 years. They are now seeking an Oracle DBA with a strong BI/Data background.
What will I be doing?
In a team of 10, you will be responsible for Oracle Database administration and development, scripting and reporting.
You will analyse the needs of the users and the business and then design, model, document, and guide the logical and conceptual relationship of data and database changes for a range of complex applications.
As a DBA you will have experience with at least one RDBMS platform, and SQL skills in at least one dialect (Oracle preferred, Postgres an advantage but not essential)
You will also have a strong BI and Data background, with exposure to at-least one BI Reporting tool such as Tableau or Yellowfin and a strong grasp of data warehouse concepts and data models.
A good Oracle DBA should have a strong understanding of relational database design, development and utilisation of normalisation forms, as well as other database concepts.
