Network Engineer - UC, IPT & Voice
London
Up to £45,000 base + on-call allowance

Currently they are seeking an IPT Network Engineer to support one of their London based public sector customers.

Role Overview
This onsite team provides managed service support for the customers network. The team monitors the customer's environment using a portfolio of industry leading management tools. The team ensures all contractual and SLA commitments are delivered by handling customer events efficiently, reducing failures and escalating effectively. To deliver real value to a customer and continually improve operational efficiency the proactive elements of a Managed Service are also vital. This includes capacity management, proactive problem management, configuration management and technical changes to a customer's environment.

Position Overview
The role is for a 1nd/2nd line IPT and Network engineer working as part of a team of 5 based at our customers site. The engineers primary responsibilities are focused around the smooth running of our customer's unified communications (UC) systems, ensuring that availability is maintained at the highest level and any issues that arise are dealt with in an effective and timely manner. As a senior engineer you will be dealing with complex Incidents, problems and changes. You will be required to support the managed service customer out of hours as part of a regular on-call rota.
Job Specification
" Day-to-day support of our customer's unified communications networks.
" Troubleshooting technical faults and providing satisfactory fixes to the customer.
" Regularly updating customers on progress of faults by telephone and email progress and actions completed on open incidents, problems and change requests
" Completing customer network Change Requests, including impact and risk analysis, implementing out of hours where required
" Providing day to day UC administration
" Working as part of an on-call rota
" Providing input to customer facing Technical Incident Reports
" Capturing repeat faults and undertaking root cause analysis
" Proactive identification of fault trends
" Development of Manufacturer relationships
" Maintaining and updating customer technical documentation

Technical Specification Essential
" Solid understanding of Routing and Switching with at least CCNA RS.
" Configuration and Troubleshooting of Routers and Switches
" CCNA Voice (collaboration) and working towards CCNP with sufficient skills to handle IPT customers
" Administration of Cisco IP telephony System based on CUCM and UCCX Technologies.
" Ability to obtain SC security clearance
" Full clean driving licence
