This is a great opportunity for a .NET Developer who is looking for a contract role with a major security and defence company.

Candidates must have current transferable SC security clearance or be willing to undergo the security clearance checks required.

Our client, a major security and defence company, require a .Net Developer to provide development capability with a focus on extending an in-house simulation modelling tool Closed Loop Automated Sustainment Service (CLASS) and system integration with other external customer systems. General application support may also be required.

An integral part of the customer support organisation, the candidate shall fulfil as a minimum (but not be restricted to) the following duties and tasks:
o Creation and improvement of CLASS for various customers (C#, SQL Server, MVC, OPUS, SIMLOX, Bootstrap).
o Internal and external customer requirements gathering.
o Support of the various business applications and interfaces.
o Occasional database administration support on SQL Server databases.
o Follow Agile software development practices.
o Provide support expertise to existing systems in Microsoft SharePoint, ASP .Net, SQL Server, and Microsoft Office.
o Disciplined approach to software development underpinned with experience of development methodologies such as SCRUM, MSF, RUP etc.
o Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and work well in a team environment.

Additional occasional duties and tasks will include:
o Ensuring that required processes and procedures are in place and updated to cover the following aspects of databases, applications, servers, and helpdesk support:
o Timely resolution to customer enquiries.
o Meeting all service level agreements (SLA), with escalation of any risks to the Team Lead.
o Providing support to databases, applications, servers, and helpdesk, proactively monitoring the overall level of service, ensuring that any downward trends are quickly addressed, and seeking ways to improve the efficiency of the system to meet customer requirements.
o Previous experience in the management and deployment of logistics information and/or business intelligence systems.

Existing clearance to DV/SC level will be preferred but a willingness to undergo SC clearance is essential.
