NDT Technician

NDT Technician urgently required to join one of the world's largest defence organisations in Bedfordshire. If successful you will be responsible for performing NDT inspection and interpretation of various components. This is a permanent opportunity with a salary of up to £35,000 per annum + fantastic company benefits. Due to the nature of the work, all applicants must be able and willing to obtain SC clearance.

Job Title: NDT Technician
Salary: Up to £35,000 + Benefits
Location: Bedfordshire (Commutable from: Milton Keynes, Bedford, Luton, Stevenage, Leighton Buzzard, Northampton)

One of the world's largest defence organisations are now seeking an NDT Technician to join their growing team in Bedfordshire. This is a permanent opportunity with a salary of up to £35,000 per annum + fantastic company benefits. Due to the nature of the work, all applicants must be able and willing to obtain SC clearance.

The successful NDT Technician will be responsible for performing NDT inspection and interpretation of various components, including welds, using one or more of the following techniques in accordance with industry standards and internal procedures:

* Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI)
* Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
* Dye Penetrant Inspection (DPI)
* Radiography (RT)

In addition you will be expected to conduct Quality Inspection activities that includes:

* Using various hand held measuring devices i.e. Vernier calipers, micrometers etc.
* Performing visual acceptance/confirmation
* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
* Creating non-conformance reports
* Goods Inwards inspection

Required Skills

* Level 2 or above in Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
* Level 2 or above in Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI)
* Level 2 or above in Dye Penetrant Inspection (DPI)
* Competent Report Writing

Desired Skills

* Level 2 Radiography (RT)
* CSWIP 3.0 Visual Weld Inspection
* Experience in Phased Array Ultrasonic testing (PAUT)
* Experience in the use of CMM or Articulated arms
