Our medical device manufacturing client based in Crawley are looking for a Multimedia E-Learning Content Developer to join them on a permanent basis.

Job Description

Multimedia E-Learning Content Developer

The post holder will be responsible for designing and developing multimedia eLearning modules and content using instructional design methodologies and associated documents including still images, sound, text, video, 3D animations and serious games to support competency based technical training and learning and development programmes.

In addition, the post holder will be required to demonstrate development activity using a variety of authoring and graphical tools including Captivate, Articulate Storyline, HTML 5, Camtasia, and CSS Dreamweaver.

You will need to demonstrate a clear understanding of intuitive user interfaces and navigation as well as attention to detail with the ability to execute projects accurately and quickly.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate a wide experience from the following: multimedia, graphic design, animation, production, mass communication, eLearning, mLearning, instructional technology or related field. A portfolio or examples to demonstrate this experience base will be required at interview.


Regularly engage with instructional designers, subject matter experts, project managers, and training specialists to create effective, interactive and immersive learning activities for deployment on corporate learning management system
Work with existing templates to create a range of rich multimedia and interactive elements using text, audio, graphics and interactivity
Produce and manage the suite of media and reusable content including eLearning, mLearning, rich media, animation, simulation, interactive, and informational and instructional graphics
Provide advice and guidance on the selection of appropriate methods and media to facilitate learning in a global environment
Devise and implement appropriate assessment strategies to manage learning performance and uptake on the corporate learning management system
Provide graphical intervention and design ideas for all projects
Support other teams members ensuring quality and rapid development

Proven multimedia scriptwriting, editing and proofreading and programming experience
Knowledge and experience of learning management systems and SCORM compliance
Background of multimedia/graphical elearning development
Experience with a range of authoring tools such as Captivate, Articulate Storyline, HTML 5, Camtasia, CSS Dreamweaver and Lectora
Graphic design experience desirable

Computing skills: (MS Excel, Word, Adobe Acrobat, PaintShop and Outlook,)
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite software, particularly Adobe Flash and Photoshop
Animation Software (e.g. Crazy Talk, 3D animation tools)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Innovative thinking
Ability to work unsupervised or as part of a team
Attention to detail
Good time and resource management skills with the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
