Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity within a global automotive OEM. You will be based with us in our special projects facility in Wellesbourne. As a Mechanical Technician you will be building, preparing, servicing and maintaining some of the UK's most prestigious vehicles including the latest electric and hybrid technologies.

Your experiences:
-You will have completed an appropriate automotive apprenticeship (or equivalent) and have relevant experience
-You would have previously worked for prestigious vehicles
-Working experience testing, preparing and supporting prototype test vehicles
-You should possess a clean driving licence
-Knowledge and experience of whole vehicle builds including body assembly
-In addition to the above, You should be a great communicator and a general understanding of computer systems and software including Word and Excel
-We will, at times, require you to work away from base (e.g. Italy, Sweden or Spain) for short periods of time

Your responsibilities:
-You will need experience working with Hybrid or Electric vehicles or working with High Voltage systems in automotive applications
-Preparation & shakedown of prototype vehicles/bucks for DVP testing, attribute sign-off events, mileage accumulation
-Carry out servicing and safety checks on prototype vehicles
-Support prototype test vehicles whilst on test, both in the UK and abroad
-Capture data from test vehicles and document for further analysis
-Assembly of components and fit to vehicle / buck in sequence of build and to process planning sheets or work request sheet
