M&E Quantity Surveyor

My client requires an M & E Quantity Surveyor to join the London team, working directly with the associate director on a key project with a prestigious client.

Job Description

Performing a key role in the M & E cost management team, you will have responsibility for management of projects mainly within the; Data Centre and Banking sectors.The current project you will be working on will see you working in a client office as part of a Project Management Office undertaking 100m of capital spend in the next 12 months. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will provide surveying services for projects and clients and will take an active role in developing client relationships and delivering projects on time and to budget.

What you will do:
To take responsibility for the full cost management of projects from inception to completion.
To ensure contracts are administered correctly, reducing risks for both Capita and the client, including QM procedures.
To regularly liaise and build relationships with colleagues ensuring consistency of service delivery.
To regularly update senior management on the progress of projects and provide high quality information to assist the business in decision-making.
To be comfortable taking a brief from clients, acting upon it and producing best practice solutions for the clients.
To gain the confidence of the client and become the focal point for communication.
Actively pursues and encourages others to recognise potential business leads.
Runs project independently.
Performs all RICS QM competencies to high technical standard.

Your experience will include:
Experience working within a professional consultancy environment
Evidence of leading projects in a client facing role
Demonstrable knowledge of the Construction sector with M & E expertise
Experience working on medium to large scale property projects within a range of sectors
