A Leading manufacturing company is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer - Electromechanical to work as part of a talented team.

Manufacturing Engineer - Electromechanical opportunity available.

Our client is looking for experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join their team working on a permanent basis in East Sussex. The successful candidate's primary function and role with deal with the conception, design and development of new products. They will need to liaise between design, quality, purchasing, and manufacturing teams on assigned projects and the production (manufacturing engineering department. They are looking for someone who is innovative, forward-thinking and who is great team player.

To work in this role, you will need some of the following criteria:

- To work within multi-disciplined teams
- Create estimated costs of manufactured parts
- Ability to problem solve (DMAIC)
- Creation & maintenance of manufacturing bills of materials
- Understands the Lean Methodology
- DFM
- SOP's - Create and maintain standard operating procedures
- Create production test schedules
- Process verification and validation
- NPI - New Production Introduction
- Design tooling aids for manufacture and consider Poka Yoke - Jigs and fixtures
- Contribute & instrumental to the Continuous Improvements
- Provide training & Guidance to manufacturing Technicians

The most important element is that the candidate must be prepared to work in a hands on role. They should be happy to work as part of a team, have excellent communication skills and great at working within a team and across different departments.

Internal liaisons: Design, Production Control, Quality, Purchasing, Machine Shop, Assembly & Test
External: Suppliers and Technical Organisations/Consultants

Achievements required:
- Minimum 5 years proven ability working within a Manufacturing facility after completion of apprenticeship/training
- Worked within a highly regulated industry (Medical, Pharma, Aerospace, Defence, Scientific)
- Worked within a Manufacturing & Design organisation - machining, cable assembly & assembly
- Fault Finding

Knowledge required:
- CAD software 0 Ideally Solidworks (for design of jigs and fixtures)
- Understanding of MRP & ERP
- Understanding of materials, plating and heat treatment processes
- Methodical in their work
- Ability to work to deadline and prioritise workload appropriately.

Qualifications ideally:
- A Level of higher standard of education
- Completed apprenticeship or recognised industry training programme
- HNC/HND - Mechanical
- Registered with professional organisation The IET or IMechE

Competencies (which are a must for this client)
- Analytical and methodical
- Good communication skills - verbal and written
- Attention to detail
- Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint proficient
