Lynx/Wildcat Mechanical Trade Supervisor
Bristol / Yeovil
8 month FTC

My client wishes to appoint a Lynx/Wildcat Mechanical Trade Supervisor reporting to the Wildcat Senior Supervisor on a Fixed Term Contract for 8 months. The contractor shall work) within 815/825 Squadrons (non-deployed) and work in shifts or days, as tasked by the Squadron Duty Engineer. Specific Aircraft Maintenance duties will be determined by the employing Squadron/Unit. You will be managing the function in line with both the organisations & RN Policies and Procedures

The key accountabilities of the job holder will be as follows:

* Supervision of Lynx8/WILDCAT and Squadron Operatives in the Mechanical trade undertaking the role of 2nd signatory.
* Carry out aircraft material state/husbandry rectification.
* Carry out QA audits, competency checks and operating practices, as directed by Unit QSC/Auths Manager.
* Carry out the responsibilities of a Line Supervisor.
* Meet the requirements of a supervisor IAW NAO 4153.
* Completion of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance as directed by the Squadron, including SI(T) compliances and Modifications.
* Fault diagnosis and rectification on Lynx/Wildcat Mechanical systems including NDT activity (if qualified) as required.
* Undertake Mechanical trade Independent Inspections.
* Supervise aircraft zonal survey rectification.
* Carry out aircraft sheet metal work.
* Completion of all GOLDesp/MF700 documentation associated with the work carried out to the correct authorisation level.
* Inputting stores demands as required.
* Submit Topic 2NR Leaflets in the absence of the Senior Supervisor.
* Ensure Company health, safety and environmental procedures are implemented and complied with at all times.

Qualifications and Experience

* It is essential for applicants to have actual Wildcat maintenance experience (RA 4807(3))
* Held a Supervisory role (including a Certificate of Competency to Supervise Aircraft Maintenance or alternative) in a similar environment, ideally within HM Forces.


* Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of the Lynx 8/Wildcat aircraft Mechanical systems
* Demonstrates an organic engineering ability in order to undertake Operative duties in the Wildcat military aircraft environment.
* Be suitably trained, experienced, qualified and current to undertake the contract tasks.
* Able to display a positive attitude to working independently and within a team.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake MOD security clearance.
