Job Description

Instructional Designer
Crawley (commutable from Guildford, Croydon, London, Tunbridge Wells, Brighton, Hampshire, West Sussex)
£35,000 - £40,000

Instructional Designer to maintain regular dialogue with training sponsors, technical trainers and subject matter experts to establish training requirement and optimum methods of delivery.

Responsibilities:
" Carry out job analysis for a variety of technical training outputs
" Derive relevant, focussed training objectives aligned with the outcome of job analysis.
" Design and create of a variety of didactic learning activities for a global and diverse learner population.
" Produce and maintain effective training documentation to support technical training output.
" Work alongside the elearning content developer to produce an effective and engaging blended learning approach to technical training for students
" To support effective evaluation of all technical training output.
" Regular engagement with subject matter experts, project managers, and training specialists to create effective and immersive residential and distance learning activities.
" Provide advice and guidance on the selection of appropriate methods and media to facilitate learning in a global environment.
" Devise and implement appropriate assessment strategies for competency based training
" To operate at all times in accordance with the departmental quality system

Qualifications:
" 3 years or more experience in instructional design (ADDIE or SAT), preferably within an engineering field
" Evidence of successful conent creation and deployment
" Knowledge and experience of learning management systems
" Computing skills: MS Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat
" Excellent interpersonal communication skills
" Innovative thinking
" Ability to work unsurpervised or as a part of a team
" Attention to detail
" Good time and resource management
