Inspection Engineers (CAT 2 / CAT 3)

Our client, a global chemicals manufacturing company, are seeking CAT2 and CAT3 Inspection Engineers to join their growing chemical manufacturing plant in Scotland. We are interested in speaking with Inspection Engineers who have experience working within Refinery Assets and/ or in Tankage Inspection and whose qualifications and experience meet a minimum CAT 2 or CAT 3 Qualification assessment.

Key duties of this role will include;

* Prepare and review Written Schemes of Examination (WSE)
* Identify preparation requirements from the WSE
* Examination in accordance with the WSE
* Undertaking simple NDT - ultrasonic thickness checks, magnetic particle, dye penetrant
* Coordination of NDT providers for extensive requirements or specialist methods
* Preparation of clear reports, including photographs
* Assessment of deterioration
* Coordinating inspection of repairs.
* Participation in Risk Based Inspection studies
* This position reports to the Senior Inspection Engineer of a team of Inspection staff. For large shutdowns the inspector is required to coordinate their work with other inspectors. For repairs and fitness for service the inspector coordinates with functional engineers.
