* Liaise with people at all levels, frontline staff to senior managers and members on matters relating to general ICT and mobile device support.
* Engage with service desk & technical ICT Staff to be able to resolve ICT issues / problems promptly and efficiently on behalf of our clients.
* A general awareness of ICT and confident in the use of computers, tablets and mobile devices.
* Working knowledge in the setup and support of Android & IOS Mobile devices for use by end users.
* Be able to deliver training on a one-to-one or group basis in the use of ICT and Mobile devices
* General understanding of computer hardware and able to move and connect up computer desktop equipment ready for us.
* Contribute to the updating and maintenance of information databases of ICT and Mobile Assets
* Interest in future technologies and how they could benefit end users and the authority
* Ability to work flexibly across the authority and willingness to drive corporate vehicles (inc. Vans)
* Post will be mainly based in Macclesfield town centre

JOB PURPOSE:

Develop and establish common standards and approaches for the provision of a comprehensive administration service to the Head of ICT and other Senior Managers.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

* Provide a full personal and confidential secretarial and administrative support service to the Head of ICT and Senior Managers to maximise the efficient and effective use of their time. Using own initiative, respond to incoming correspondence, contacts and enquiries, where appropriate, on behalf of the Senior Management Team.
* Plan, co-ordinate, organise and on occasion attend, meetings and other events involving the Head of ICT and Senior Managers; arrange and monitor following up action to ensure that business objectives are met.
* Plan, organise and attend seminars, workshops and exhibitions, including sourcing venues and liaising with speakers. Prepare presentation and marketing material and provide support activities to ensure events and award submissions are delivered successfully.
* Develop, monitor, implement, co-ordinate and review working practices, policies, procedures and standards in relation to administration activities, to ensure corporate and service requirements are met.
* Contribute to development and maintenance of information databases relating to ICT policy and delivery to ensure accurate and timely information is available to the Senior Management Team, publishing information as appropriate via the intranet, internet and written documentation.
* Train, develop and supervise administration staff to ensure that resources are used to maximum effect.
* Review, assess and continuously evaluate administration procedures, instructions and information systems operating within ICT and implement improvements to ensure optimum efficiency and use of resources.
* Plan, co-ordinate and manage any relocation of the Services staff within corporate office buildings to minimise disruption and maximise productivity.
