HR Advisor (Generalist)
An opportunity has arisen for an HR generalist & business partner to support parts of a Technical Directorate within a large defence client based in Stevenage. This role is being offered on an initial 6 month contract.
Job DescriptionYour overarching aim is to help the Technical Directorate deliver their business plan objectives.
To achieve this you will:
o Implement resourcing plans, drive and facilitate improvement programmes, deliver organisational change and restructuring plans
o You will work with the management team to identify development opportunities, coach the management team through employee relations issues and develop their management style
o Work with the management teams to identify and deliver team development activities across the projects.
o You will work with the Function Heads to understand the business challenges and the people issues that arise from those challenges. You will then engage with the relevant HR functions to develop appropriate interventions and or solutions.
o Ensure international/national HR calendar activities are delivered within time and to quality
Additional Job Details:
o Ideally you will be degree qualified or equivalent and a Member of the CIPD or equivalent is essential
o Established ability to build constructive working relationships and use effective influencing skills
o Excellent practical knowledge and understanding of Employment Laws as appropriate is essential
o Ability to appreciate, and seek to resolve, complex organisational, business problems
o Strong consultancy problem solving, coaching and facilitation skills
o Good understanding of organisation Design and Development tools and processes would be advantageous
o International and national travel will be required on occasion
o The ability to work in ambiguous situations and create clarity from them
o The ability to influence other HR functions to support business requirements
