A leading automotive OEM is seeking a highly experienced Homologation Engineer to join their Cranfield team in the R&D division. The opportunity will allow you to work within the UK automotive industry that is known best for premium and sports cars. This global leading automotive manufacturer are offering a long-term contract opportunity to work with their current and future vehicle ranges and develop and deliver type approval for full vehicle certification.

Rate: £26 per hour (& £39 per hour for Overtime)

An opportunity has arisen within a leading automotive client, based out of their central Location. Reporting to the , the role of Homologation Engineer is responsible for delivering vehicle certification.

Candidate Requirements:
-Ideally qualified to degree level within an Engineering discipline
-Strong interpersonal skills for technical discussions with design, test, off site labs and EU authority engineers.
-A desire to develop your engineer career in the field of vehicle legislation and Homologation.
-Ideally experienced within global Homologation and Type Approval experience within the automotive industry.

-Develop and deliver Type Approval plans for future models
-Negotiate 'worst case' scenarios with EU Authorities
-Facilitate Type Approval testing in accordance with EI and other markets legislation and respect Quality, Cost and Delivery targets
-To prepare necessary documentation
-Give subject interpretation support to design and test engineers through authority/consultation
-Responsible for System Type Approval for allocated subjects and markets
-Indirect supervision of Manufacturing/Technical Officer/Admin Staff on specific occasions.
