Situated on the picturesque South Devon Coast, near the village of Sidmouth, they have over 700 employees and volunteers who work for the charity.

What do they need?
As Head of IT you will be responsible for managing the IT strategy and driving efficiency through the use of technology across the charity.

You will take the lead on the strategic development, management and operating of the IT systems and manage and motivate the IT team to deliver and effective and highly regarded service across the charity.

What will I be doing?
You will be developing and managing an IT strategy which identifies the future direction of the use of technology within the charity, to drive efficiencies and define business relevant KPI's to measure the success of the strategy

Undertaking a critical assessment of the charity's support requirements and implement ITIL protocols to improve ongoing control and customer service, building a culture of continuous service improvement

Reviewing emerging technology trends for future IT development, creating competitive business opportunities

Agreeing and managing IT budgets and leading the annual planning and prioritisation process

Manage IT services provided by internal and external service providers ensuring effective service delivery

Effectively recruit, manage, train and develop the IT department setting SMART objectives and managing performance including timely performance reviews; ensuring the team understand their contribution to the Charity's strategic objectives and their own roles and responsibilities

What do they need?
An IT Manager, who's maybe seeking a less-corporate and more rewarding working environment
You should be able to demonstrate a comprehensive awareness of existing and developing technologies and how they can be applied to the business

Someone who is able to recognise business opportunities and experience of presenting a clear strategic vision of how technology can be applied to achieve success

An ability to demonstrate experience of developing, implementing and managing IT strategies and priorities

This will suit someone who is comfortable with life on a farm; amongst mud and the animals. It goes without saying that you will be comfortable in wellies!

Salary & Location
£50,000 - £60,000, based in Sidmouth with occasional UK travel
