We have an opportunity within a leading automotive client, based out of their Warwickshire head office. Position Description:
We are looking for a (under)graduate engineer to work in the Tyre Modelling & CAE Team, to be responsible for creation of MF (Magic Formula) tyre models. The engineer will receive training in the modelling of tyres using various tools to create and validate MF type tyre models. The role entails office based tyre modelling and vehicle dynamics CAE / analysis.

Skills Required:
1. Knowledge of Tyre modelling principles, tyre models and their limitations.
2. Objective data analysis / interpretation, and general data management.
3. Matlab - good ability level required, and/or affinity to learn and improve skills
4. Familiarity with Tyre models / tools (Magic Formula, MF-Tools, OptimumG, etc.)
5. Recording and reporting findings, in written or verbal format
6. Demonstrating a robust scientific approach and knowledge of design of experiments, Good MS-Office skills.

Experience Required:
Relevant Mechanical Engineering Degree (or working towards) with emphasis on Automotive Engineering and in particular Vehicle Dynamics and Tyres. Experience with tyre models, and good knowledge of tyre modelling (in particular Magic Formula).

Experience Preferred:
MSc in motorsport or automotive engineering (or working towards), Vehicle Dynamics training, Experience of tyre testing and development of repeatable and reproducible tyre test procedures, and correlation of data with models and simulations, CAE training (e.g. Matlab Simulink, Simpack, IPG CarMaker), Knowledge of 6-Sigma tools and techniques (particularly process development and statistical methods), Self-motivated and independent working with proven project and time management skills, Good at team work and able to interact with people in other teams around the company.

Additional Information:
