We have an opportunity within a leading automotive client, based out of their Warwickshire head office .A Fuel System Engineer you will be developing the components of the low pressure fuel system, or urea delivery system, from concept to production

Position Description:
To support Jaguar Land Rover growth we are now seeking a new addition to the Fuel and Urea Systems Engineering team within Powertrain to engineer the systems to meet the requirements and performance expected by our customers. This role is essential within Fuel and Urea Systems in developing the components of the low pressure fuel system, or urea delivery system, from concept to production, thereby offering the best sustainable business case for in line with commodity strategy. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to build the role and play a major part in developing the next generation of world class powertrains.

Key Responsibilities.
Be responsible for the design of the low pressure Fuel or Urea system. These comprise: Fuel: Storage (tanks) and distribution (lines, fillers, evaporative emissions systems, filters). Urea: storage (tanks) and distribution (lines and fillers). Work with all stakeholders to define system/component designs in line with commodity strategy, requisite standards and programme targets Establish and maintain assumptions for cost (tooling, Design and Development, piece) and weight status Support programme CAD assessment and DV plan population and delivery Establish and maintain technical target brochure and secure agreement with all stakeholder parties Report overall status to management and Powertrain Programme Leaders Concur assumptions with Manufacturing and Service Document and concur design decisions Deliver the release process through prototype builds to production Support formal commodity/system sourcing to requisite timing Manage suppliers and drive the delivery of the commodity plan Support the launch transition with Manufacturing.

Skills Required:
1) Automotive industry experience.
2) Powertrain system design experience
3) Project engineering experience.

Experience Required:
Strong understanding of automotive engineering as a sum of inter-connected systems -Self-motivated and adaptable to changing demands -Strong background in forging good working relationships cross-functionally -Passionate about the development of products Demonstrable capability to dive deep into the details of an issue and maintain focus to close it out -Experience of a system/commodity delivery

Experience Preferred:
Demonstrable experience or technical background in working with Powertrain systems (ideally Fuel or Urea) -Relevant Engineering degree -Working knowledge of PCS -Working knowledge of quality and release systems -Current Driving Licence
